There are so many ways to personalize life, and for good reason. I was given this bottle of wine from my artistic friend, Trisha, and didn't realize she had personalized a label until she mentioned it! What started as a small hobby has started to grow and now she's making personalized labels (you would swear the bottles just came off the shelf) and logos! Have Some Fun

Yes, it's true design is serious, but why can't it also be fun from time to time? A fond design moment of mine, was finding a rug and poufs in the same, soft shaggy white material. Now I get this look isn't for everyone (so says my Mom), but it is a playful approach to the room. So next time you're debating whether or not to buy that avant garde chair, I say live a little!

Spooning

Wooden spoons have been, and always will be a staple in any kitchen. They don't scratch your pans and they resist the transfer of heat. The problem is, they show their age (not in the good patina way) and you can't put them in the dishwasher. Get with the new wave of wood and replace that old wood spoon for one made of bamboo. All of the pluses and less of the minuses.
